Control: Gloombook acts as the Data Controller responsible for your personal information.
Operator: Built on Google Firebase (as Data Processor), utilizing the asia-south2 data center region (Delhi, India).
Children's Privacy
Gloombook is not intended for individuals under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If discovered, such data is deleted immediately.
Information We Collect
As a full-scale social platform, we collect the necessary information to render your profiles, feeds, and communications:
- Account Details: Your display name, email address, profile picture URL, and secure authentication ID via Google.
- User Content (UGC): Content you explicitly create or upload, including text posts, long-form blogs, community descriptions, chat messages, and poll votes.
- Files & Media: Images, videos, PDFs, or documents you intentionally upload to communities or chats.
- Social Data: Your followers, community memberships, join requests, likes, bookmarks, and emoji reactions.
- System Metadata: Server timestamps and basic notification preferences to maintain chronology and delivery.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data based on your explicit consent. By signing in via Google and utilizing Gloombook, you consent to our collection of information strictly requested natively by the platform applications.
You may withdraw consent at any time by securely deleting your account within the application settings.
How We Use It
Solely to deliver and optimize the Gloombook digital experience:
- Service Delivery: To generate chronological feeds, sync real-time chat, and render your identity seamlessly.
- Communication: Native notifications and critical product updates.
- Trust & Safety: To enforce cryptographic community privacy barriers and moderate assets.
Email Communications
By registering, you agree to receive essential account alerts and occasional community product updates. Every non-critical email includes a seamless unsubscribe option.
Data Retention
We retain active profile data indefinitely to continuously power your operational communities until you request deletion.
Upon deleting your account natively, your personal identifying markers are destroyed. Note that generalized data—such as chat messages sent transparently to surviving group channels—is retained contextually as part of the shared historical archive for the remaining community members.
Data Storage & Security
Storage is securely mapped to Google Firebase (asia-south2), deploying industry-standard AES encryption transitively and at rest.
We comprehensively utilize Firebase Document Security Rules to ensure that Private Communities, internal group channels, and private file assets are mathematically restricted against unauthorized public access requests.
International Transfers
Gloombook is operated structurally from India. Data processing relies on Google Cloud infrastructure partitioned natively out of Delhi.
By participating in the platform, you permit this explicit geographic transfer alongside Google's rigorous international CDN safeguards.
Sharing Information
We strictly never sell or broker your profile data mathematically. Our exclusive digital processor remains Google Firebase acting distinctly as our backend architectural layer.
Third-Party Links
Gloombook securely maps URL previews and embeds. However, we assume no logical responsibility for tracking cookies, privacy postures, or tracking scripts explicitly executed by external third-party sites once your browser reliably navigates off our domain.
Governing Law
This universal Privacy Policy is governed algorithmically by the sovereign laws of India, structurally complying with the parameters specified natively within the structural Information Technology Act, 2000.
Your Rights
You exercise sovereign control directly over your platform identity. Execute modifications natively via Gloombook's frontend interfaces, or coordinate formally at support@gloombook.com.
- Access & Edit: Morph profile avatars, descriptions, and post arrays dynamically via your profile dashboard.
- Irreversible Deletion: Terminate chat comments, blogs, and even your operational authentication identity natively.
- Data Portability: Request formal administrative CSV/JSON payload exports of your exact data footprint dynamically mapped by our support architecture.
